ABOUT TAP

Triangle Angel Partners is an angel fund based in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina.

 

Triangle Angel Partners (TAP) was formed in 2011 by set of leaders who were aware of the value their expertise and capital could bring to local entrepreneurs in high-tech start-ups. The first TAP fund raised more than $2.7 million in committed capital from more than 40 individual and entities. That fund made investments in 9 portfolio companies.

 

The second fund, TAP II, formed in September 2015 and grew to a $4 million fund with more than 80 members by the time of its final close in April 2016. This fund is only making investments in current portfolio companies.​

TAP members give companies more than just capital; they also provide counseling, mentoring and access to an extensive network of potential investors, customers, strategic partners and management talent. TAP also shares deal flow with other venture capital affiliates throughout North Carolina, southern Virginia, and northern South Carolina.
